Hmm, I thought september was when all our cars were being build. These ones rocking up now are what?

Are these ones coming in of MY11 spec?

Oh yeh, what he said. If they are MY11, I'd be disappointed if I missed out on the earlier batch given my order has been in since the 3dr code was released.

So my calculator says that the RRP Driveaway price for the car in the spec they mention should be $67,929.20 - yet they are asking over $2k more than that at $69,990 - and that's with 299km on it. There's something wrong here, or incorrect with the ad...

Well depends on how stupid the buyer is!

You'd understand all to well, when you have no car for so long you get excited over almost anything!!! Going on 2 mths walking for me. I'm feeling more and more like a dirty tree hugging hippy!!!

No Joke there man! I would be pretty keen for a new car this weekend! I love my cars so I would be pumped even If it was for a new Hyundai. But even better its got DSG and a VW badge.. Good times, you lucky m%$%#$ F*&^%$!!! Im jealous.

Spotted some Rs this week. Today, a blue one with 18s at the mosman fitness car park, NICE! And a U grey on military rd in front of the shell/maccas at cremorne on saturday!! Very lucky getting them this early. Man, I am pumped for my one!

I have still only seen one R on the road and that was only very quickly as i drove past at an intersection.

Yeah - I've still only seen one... a black one with silver Talladega's that I overtook on the M2 about a month or so back

LOL, i reckon you might have seen me then in the U Grey one.. I was driving around the cremorne, neutral bay area on saturday quite a bit. I've seen the blue one there quite often as well. I think we're both locals in the area

i ordered my Golf R back in July.....on the 25th i think or 26th....one of those......anyway its been just over a month now...

When i signed the dotted line the dealer gave me a guesstimate delivery of 15th December. He did say though before I signed that if I was to sign on that day (the day I actually did sign), then it would maybe JUST scrape through for the next batch of production for the Golf R's. And he gave me a delivery date of 15th December

Now, of course I dont believe him 100% because he is a dealer. In the end he got my cash and I dont mind the wait but just a few questions

1) is there any way of tracking the car from when its being made step by step? I read a thread here that gave me chills how some pple waited months for their car and missed out on some of the specs they ordered and some even got an entirely different car altogether!!! Any way of tracking it like a DHL parcel or something with a tracking number of some sort?

2) Any way of tracking what the dealer ACTUALLY put through the computer to Bavaria so I can see if he left out any of my specs that I ordered (Recaro, MDI, 5 door, DSG, RVC, RNS510, 19's Black talladegas)

3) How long will it REALLY be? As in whats a better guesstimate and what is a more realistic delivery date? 15th of december seems to good to be true as some have been waiting on a november delivery which has now been pushed back to late decemeber?

1) Your dealer will be able to print you out a copy of your 'Vehicle Tracking Report' which gives you all the approx dates of all the build and delivery stages that your car will go through, this will also give you an approx date of when your dealer will receive it.

2) You can also get from them a copy of your NADCON car configuration which will give you the specs of your specific car that the dealer has entered into the system.

3) Most of us who have had orders in since before early July have received all this info and our cars are scheduled to start being built in the next week or so and should receive them end of November early December.
