Actually, the high beam is the same light as the normal beam. That's why they're "Bi-Xenons". The inside light is actually the turning signal.

Hey I sometimes switch the car on and off again just to watch the lights flick from side to side, nfi why they do that but it's extremely cool!

It's just for recalibration. The MKV Xenon's used to move up and down. Does the MK6 only move left and right, or up and down too?

Both - they go down, then out, then in, then up.

I noticed that my car doesn't always recalibrate the lights but when it does the start-up pattern is left & right then up & down and then straight ahead.

I also noticed that the Xenon's bend around corners more than the Xenon's in my GTI.

Oh it has a purpose, figured it was like the sweeping needles on start up hehe. They go everywhere, its awesome. Haha feel like a tool!

LOL no but I should. Have been working on an issue at work since 1pm and still going so the brain is starting to get slow. Only break I had was the drive home from the office and a quick blast to a mates a couple hours ago to relax!

I just noticed that this R has s/steel trims on the wheel where the buttons are. Don't all Rs come with piano black?

I know a guy from Turkey on another forum who has an R and he also has silver inserts on his wheel.
