My money's on a Fiesta ST. Can't imagine after an R you'd want a Pug or a Citroen. Or a Fiat.

I could never buy a Fiesta (ST or not) after my R, not as a daily vehicle.

Horrible cheap interior, sharp edges, missing paint inside panels, poorly finished panel edges, bony gearbox, noisey engine.

We like the look, just nothing else about it

ordered this and its arrived.. any ideas where I could find a service manual which shows me how to carry out the changeover? the 4 screws under the bonnet aren't the only screws, seems it is somehow connected to the bumper as well.

EDIT: quite a noob when it comes to cars :p

There are also 4 clips at the base of the grille that pop out. They hold on quite well so you need to give them a good tug to pop them off. Start on one side and work your way across to the other.

Thats right - the clips remain in the bumper assembly, so the new grill should click back on and then use the 4 screws on top to secure it.

So looks like mine will be heading to a new owner next Thursday or Saturday. Depending on both of our work commitments.

Got a fair price for it - and much more than the 25k I apparently should have taken.

New toy coming. It won't be a VAG. It won't even be a cherman car. Going for something completely different.

same, that car's gotten a lot of good press. fit/finish won't quite match the vw but at least it doesnt polarise opinion like the twin turbo v6 i just put a deposit on to replace my R (silvrfoxx not allowed to guess)

Cheers. It's going to be interesting to see the reaction. I've never seen another one in newcastle, and they are very colour dependent. I nearly bought a Mini Cooper S JCW but these are a little bit slower, but a hell of a lot more comfortable over cracks in the F3.

Geez your playing the game.....not giving it away easily. So now i know that you considered a Mini......is it a 208GTI, Alfa Mito/Guillietta or Fiat 500? Or a Volvo C30 or a Skoda.

The Skoda's are very colour dependent if you ask me. Some of their colours are pretty bland while others are quite bright and exciting.
