Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

                        Having owned a GTI and now an R, I understand that there is much more to the R than AWD. No turning back for me

                          Replacing it might be a challenge though

                          VW seem to be moving away from it (current format)

                          Still, they know the hot hatch market is a winner for them so there will hopefully always be options.

                            I fear you may be right, especially with the Korean interest in getting into the hot hatch market. It will become a price war, and VW will have no choice but to compete.

                              Could mean further cost cutting in the GTI especially.

                              Something I got hurt with when we got our MKV GTI (07 model)
