apart from GTIs I also looked at the 118TSI - there are 98 DSGs and only 1 manual!

They should do a R in the caddy's sundown orange, it's an awesome colour

Out of interest Dermot, how much DOES it cost to ship a car over to us Eastern states? And is it different for different cars? Golf vs Passat for example?

We can generally ship them covered for about $1300 to most locations, and uncovered a little cheaper.

Plus, with me having my eye on the upcoming Golf R, it is time for the CC to go.

Flew down and picked up my MK6 GTI on Saturday in ACT from Gerald Slaven Volkswagen. The whole process was very smooth from organising it from interstate right up to the delivery. Many thanks to Phillip (PhillipVWDealer) and Trent (salesman) for looking after me and for being great to deal with. Highly recommend paying them a visit if you are in ACT, or interstate for that matter as they have a nice dealership there (and spotted a few other new GTI's in the yard with some tasty options too). Appreciate the warm welcome at the airport too, absolute champion!

Popped in to see Phillip at Slaven to see how things were going with my order (also through Trent). Phillip mentioned you had been in to collect your new toy and drive back to Brissy. Nice way to run the new car in.

Hi flappa, must have just missed you. Found out Lima dropped in there too as i spotted him in the S3 going the other way, and met up for a brief chat at Parliament House.

Hope you don't have too long to wait! Some nice options there, two that i wanted the most i think. Also love Carbon Steel, would have been happy with either but jagged this car as someone ordered it but wants an R.
