Oh so glad I bought the only GTI "In Stock" in Perth. Just stunned some of you guys have been prepared to wait so long!!!

That was the one that's just come back from the crash repairer after being fixed when a Cat D9 that was parked next to it on the ship ran over it unloading it at the dock ............. Only joking !

New member, but this place has helped me during my very long wait. Ordered my GTI MKVI back in July, and only yesterday was informed of the Vin in order to track my new car. Its on the AIDA, and should arrive in Fremantle on Dec 16th, but will most probably only get my hands on it till early Jan.

Dealer advises me that the wait till Jan will be better due to compliance plates, but I'm finding it very hard.

It's usually 2 to 3 weeks to receive your car after it lands in the country anyway. And yeah, even if they were able to get it to you really quickly and have a 2010 delivery date, since they use the compliance date to value cars in WA, you'd be almost silly to not wait the 1 or 2 days extra to have a 2011 compliance plate...

How long ago did you order it?

25th October is when I ordered the car... They will not know a confirmed date until January 2011 for when it will be coming, but also in the email was expected date June 2011... I only just sold my car as well, so now I get to drive a work van around until it comes in! At least when the Golf R comes in after driving the crappy old Van around for 8 months it will seem all the more better lol... I don't know weather to laugh or cry... I think I will do both.

118 TSI on the way

I pulled the trigger on a candy white TSI, sports pack, manual with ACC for the SO yesterday... All going well, there will be 2 x VW in the garage on Friday evening

The big question is how long can I stay from Volkspower for an APR stage 1....

Just received THE CALL. She's ready to picked up. Going to make the drive from Central Coast down to Sydney in the old Civic for the last time on Friday morning as I'm trading her in. I shall miss her. Not a single problem in 10 years, despite the abuse. Will be a nice drive back up the F3 with a possible deviation or three.
