Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
[COLOR=blue]If however he is refusing point blank to release that info, and without a valid reason, then I suspect there is something amiss, and I would be investigating..
Yeah, and that's my issue with dealers like Kiles. He ordered his car in June. Most others who ordered in June have their cars on the boat or soon to be on the boat. If there is honestly no update in NADCON, then Kiles dealer should be investigating QUICK SMART about why there is no updates... they shouldn't be turning around and saying and simply saying "we have no information" and leaving it at that. It's either a lie, or them being very lazy (or both).
I understand the dealer's right not to give out the screenshots or VIN / chassis number... but the current stance sounds suss
The reason my dealer states that there been a delay in the car going into productions is due to a shortage of R parts. I am concerned that I am reading on this forum that other orders made at the same time or later than mine are now in the process of being delivered.
"...Your car left Bremerhaven , 8/10/10 on the Morning Camilla, passage
C0029. It is expected to dock in Sydney 20/11/10. We normally deliver
about 10 days after docking...."

They might have the right, but I doubt many of them are crazy enough to fend off our continuous requests! I mean we're stalking a boat on the other side of the world, we aren't gonna take no for an answer!

Another one of the MC. Tracking dates here and boat location in my signature
I received confirmation several weeks ago that my R went into production 27th of September (week 39) that's the last I heard. Anyone else have the same build week, and if so, have you heard anything from the dealer?
I want to start tracking boats with the rest of you guys!
I haven't done anything yet such as contact the dealer about whether there has been a production date allocated e.t.c., do you guys think its still a bit early to pester?
I'm thinking yes it is still a bit early. Maybe mid-November would be more realistic?

Hi Mate,
I ordered my Golf R around that time and contacted the dealer a week ago to get an idea of when a possible build date was. He said he didn't have confirmation yet and this was before I had heard here that usually the earliest you may get a build date is around the 4 week mark, but quite often its longer. I was going to wait another week or two so it will be around the 5-6 week mark and then check again. The wait is a killer eh?!

They really won't have any information to give you in the first 4 weeks at all! I ordered my R on June 12th although my sales man kept me updated at least once a month, it wasn't until September 6th that they finally had the confirmed production week. I'm not sure whether TDIs and TSIs are in a backlog like the GTIs and especially Rs are, but yeah, patience
Send your dealer an email and just ask nicely if they could shoot you through an update once a month, that's enough

Yep patience is a virtue eh? lol Your a lucky bugger with yours on a boat now! Just knowing that its actually on the boat and the wait will soon be over would be exciting enough, can't imagine when you actually first sit in the beast and zoom off for the first drive!!

I've been waiting since my MKV Oettinger/APR Stage II GTI was written off by a bus in Jan 09. I thought to myself it'll be better in Jun this year when the car was ordered... nope. Then I thought it'd be better once I knew it was in production... even worse! Now that it's on the boat, I can't even get a good night's sleep! Someone shoot me already, lol

Damn that sucks about the writeoff! I was bad enough when my Skyline's front end was damaged years ago so can't imagine how annoying and gutting a writeoff would be.
Lol yeah i don't usually sleep well at the best of times so when my car is eventually on the boat I will be going nuts as well I think!
