Car to go back for fourth time
Fix dry edge on inside of all doors
Refit side skirt
Shoot some paint into a small area under front left door
Assessor said paint isn't perfect match but none of them are even from factory
White apparently is the better matched paint from factory, blues, silver and reds the worst8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

Geez, with todays technology you'd think it would be getting easier to achieve good colour matching. When is your saga ever going to be over!! Dry edge, missing paint and refitting parts is just woeful. No excuse for shoddy workmanship.Originally posted by Candyman View PostCar to go back for fourth time

well the taxi was great for lugging heaps of boxes (i moved places on the weekend) and i didn't have to worry about scratching up the seats... it was a great workhorseOriginally posted by Rob_R View PostGood luck, what...... you no love the taxi no more??
super soft suspension also helped me transport delicate stuff without breaking anything
but i'll let someone else love it now... and judging by the smell i'd say it's used to getting around a bitCurrent: MY18 Golf R 7.5 DSG - FOR SALE

No scratches or runs here. Mine has extra paint
Gotta say one good thing about the repairs after looking at R's at dealers
The panel fitment is way better on mine, better than factory now.
VW really suck at panel matching. At least they are consistently average !8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

Car is great! A bit worried at first since the tyre pressure warning light came on whilst driving home, but I checked the pressures and hit the reset button and it's all good
Both the assessor and I thought that the suspension was fubar, but turns out I just knocked it into its furthest adjustment and the alloy took the brunt of the damage. NRMA said a new 19" talladega + tyre + alignment cost over $2k... I think they're being nice
Interestingly the car handles a bit lighter now, probably a side effect of having a full alignment done.Current: MY18 Golf R 7.5 DSG - FOR SALE
