    CW was bad enough.

i think RB would have made the paint errors more noticeable... but anyway, spilt milk under the bridge

Hey Candyman, I am sure they will fix it up, smacks of a rush job. They will fix it and yes it is a PIA but don't lose the lust

            Correct

CW is a flat paint and far easier than RB to repair and work with.

I'm fussy but I'll get it sorted to the quality I expect.

Quality of the repairer beats others that have been suggested which is why I selected them.

Some people would be ecstatic with the result I got.

Guess we all have our own expectations.

Another R in the shop when I was there, a black one. Seems they get quite a few. The R's look humble/cheap with the high end Mercs, Beemers, Lambos that are in the shop

            • Well they are in that mix.. that's why it is embarrassing if you tune one up and show any of them your tail lights

              • I don't think any tune would put the R anywhere close to the AMG's and M3's that were in the shop.

Still, they all get damaged the same.

Will get mine fixed eventually, not to factory level but thems the breaks.

Will be sold in the next three years anyway and find something else

                    • The R you refer would not touch the cars I referred to

                      They have also been tuned

                      Apples to apples

I'd take them any day over an R

He was just picking up on my original post.. I think we all would accept an AMG 63 over the R given a choice

I must be insane then, because I was in the market for a C63 when i got the R I was moving 'up' from a BMW 125i and was considering M3, C63 and even an F355. Chose the R in the end, and tbh it was an easy choice...

Oh god, and I was so worried about a little damage on my car.

Dude, you need some help, seriously

You settled for an R ?

It is an unreliable, entry level sports hatch built for the masses like me who can't afford good vehicles.

                              • I didn't "settle" for an R, I chose it

Before i could afford a GTI, I wanted one. When I could afford one, I didn't want it anymore and set my sights on an R32 (at the time). When I could afford that, I didn't want it anymore and I wanted an RS4/M3. But when I could afford those, I didn't want them anymore and I realised I only wanted the next car up that I couldn't afford!

So I picked the car I'd want to have as an ultimate everyday car, and leave money left over for investment and later, an impractical second car since I already have an "entry level sports hatch built for the masses" to hide in when I don't want all the attention
