it would be a shame if the 3 doors don't come to australia. 3 doors are the real deal, i actually hate 5 door golfs actually 5 doors hatch, in my opinion they just don't look right.

Also, yes, the R will have Parking Sensors as standard in the front and rear, four in each location, but it won't have Park assist (which requires an additional 2 on the sides of the front bumper)

We already have pricing of the options, but we don't know the base price.
I also feel the reported price on the recaro's (mistakenly?) already includes the LCT. $4000 is what they cost on the R32. Add LCT to that and it's $5320. The released information says that the recaro's are $5300 in the R, which is obviously very close to the $5320. If they really ARE $5300 without LCT, that would mean they'd cost $7401.45 after LCT and Stamp Duty - which is obvoiusly very excessive for two seats

As Front and rear sensors on most of their cars are not even a factory option, and are only dealer fitted?
I wonder if they will still charge $1400 for park assist, even tough the front and rear sensors are apparently standard?

Not really a deal breaker for me as I'd prob get 5dr anyway, and less of a pita.

Please man, don't make me have to explain what I've already explained TWICE on the two previous pages!

I have photos here actually, rear, side and front 5 all up but I'm not wanting to get someone in trouble for taking them if that makes sense, hope you understand - it was a request that it be that way unfortunately. let it slide a few days and I'll host them somewhere.

Is sitting on a wharf FOB nestled in amongst 500 other cars at Port Kembla. I'm not sure if there was more than one or even if its DSG/Manual. I will ask though.

And I have read over your past posts. Yes you said you had pricing on options but you have not posted up the offical option prices for the R yet. So while you may actually know what VWA has planned. The rest of us have no idea.
and there is nothing wrong with me saying that it is ODD that VWA would option on Front and Rear parking sensors as a factory standard option and not go the extra step to put on Park Assist. Because as im sure you know, VWA DO NOT give people the option of putting front and rear parking sensors on Golf's (and im pretty sure Tiguans too) from the factory. They are dealer fitted options.
If you want Front and Rear parking sensors in a Golf from the factory, your dealer will tell you to option on Park Assist.
So as this car is a Golf.. it just seems very odd...
I hardly see that as something to start singling me out on?
On a Side note, those 19" Rims look awesome!Last edited by Pauly; 24-03-2010, 10:14 PM.

Chill Pauly. I don't think Coreying is singling you out. But I suppose you did annoy him when you started all those threads previously.
Front and rear parking sensors are standard on the Passat and Jetta. Rear parking sensors are standard on the Tiguan 147TSI. So, yes, you're probably right that VWA does not provide front and rear sensors as options, but they certainly can be standard.
And park assist does not seem to be an option - not available overseas and no reason to think Aust will be any different. Hence Coreying's point about reading the posts on the previous two pages.
