I thought the PA wasn't even an option on the R overseas?

29th May is Launch Day. (apparent, june will be public)

Dealers will not see the cars for at *least* another 2-3 weeks so i have been told direct by our contacts.

Well, based on the information received I wouldn't expect it to change.

But you never know what tricks VW Aus might have up their sleeves. For example, I was surprised to see the R spotted today in Fremantle is a three-door.

can anyone confirm whether the golf r has a starter button and a comfort access system like the bmw 135i

No and No.

I was also interested in the comfort access system. The Toureg has it I believe, and maybe some of the other luxo VW models, but not on the Golf.

Would have been handy.

Crap.. take the GTI on the 20th May or wait anywhere from a month extra upward for the R. (after already waiting since December btw)

...and still no firm pricing. bugger. Actually it's not so much the pricing but whether or not a discount can be had. Even if its only half of the 10% I got on the GTI.
