He could possibly help you with the acquision of the bulbs too? Otherwise, just grab them from interwebs sites in the USA or Europe, such as
ECS Tuning etc

Golf S5 headlight from tmtuning
Hi all,
I'm a newbie.I just got Mk6 last month.
Has anyone purchased the Golf S5 headlight from tmtuning yet ? I'm just wondering if it's worth buying and if it's easy to install it with HID kit ?
I think it looks cool with that headlight.

Installing HID's legally is not cheap as you need to install the autolevelling system and headlight washers.
This will also need to be wired into the car and re-coded to allow the car to know you have HID's.
You also have the cost of the lights and shipping so in teh end it makes it not worth while to retrofit HID's.
Also be aware that ordering lights from overseas may net you lights with teh wrong beam throw due to LHD/RHD differences.

GTI mk6 Xenon Headlights
at the moment i've got factory fitted bi-xenon headlights. i notice that the R32 or even other European cars like the BMW 323ci, or even the Mercs has brighter Xenon.
Firstly, does anyone here knows the brightness in Kelvins for the standard factory fitted Xenons for the GTI MK6? i am guessing it's 4000 lumens..
Secondly, has anyone here did an upgrade from the factory fitted xenons to the brighter ones say 7000 lumens? if so any brand recommendation and if it's something that it's easy to install..

Hid installer in Sydney NSW
Hi, does anyone knows someone who can install my HID aftermarket kit (MKVI bulb holder + HID kit included) in Sydney who doesn't charge too much and know how to do it without damaging my car? If yes please let me know!!! I've been looking around for the past few weeks and most of them either charge too much or can't guarantee that they would be able to do it!
Thanks!!!

below is an article i found a while ago. this should be sufficient to educate or warn the risks to any one wishing to illegally retrofit HID bulbs into headlights that are specifically designed for halogen bulbs.
Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply
initially i wanted bixenon in a GTI but the one avaiable in stock back then did not have the option.
i use phillips x-treme vision bulbs and am very happy with its performance.
but anyone is free to do anything with his car given that he is fully aware of the risks associated with some mods.
HID retrofit = blinding everyone
Low profile tyres = harsh ride and potential pothole damage
Blue tinted halogen bulbs = less visibility
Go all in and buy the best mods in the market = less money in the bank or huge credit cards bills :pLast edited by nat225; 12-03-2011, 01:25 PM.Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - Super Select 2WD/4WD

Yeah i thought it prob for a second since i like the look of the xenons but its easy to tell factory xenons from HID install and to me they look cheap. Plus the fact of aftermarket wiring on a new car just doesnt sit well to me esp since there are cases of cars catching fire due to the HIDs.
But an answer to your question, any auto elec should be able to do it!
