That undated VW Corporate Program document is the most explosive document I've seen online this side of Wikileaks if it is current.
Better take a copy of that just in case before VW issues a take down notice!
*Does anyone know its validity? If it were current I would have expected to see reduced support for Rs and other models in short supply. No mention of Polo, let alone Polo GTI.
The document does expressly refer to a Letter of Authorisation from the employee's employer. However, use the force, Molotov, and have the contents of the letter placed onto company letterhead (using a Word version from your dealer perhaps) and have your manager sign it (if HR won't).
My employer initially refused but then I raised my hand a little and started drawing my thumb and forefinger together and he reached for his collar and, shortly afterwards, his pen.
Of course, in terms of negotiating a better outcome than corporate, this is far more easily done, and more equitably so for the dealer, if the entitlement to the Corporate Discount is in hand. So if you are entitled to it, you would be mad not to negotiate with it. I mean, why wouldn't you give the dealer the extra 5% margin to play with?
