you should be lol. It was awesome. I have been all over the world watching motor sport, and the monster mile was my first taste of nascar (long time fan) and it rates up there with Le Mans and Spa. A must see.

Yeah - I was lucky enough to be able to attend the ****ies 500 in Texas in Nov 2006. 161,000 fans, 43 stock cars with 800hp V8 motors travelling at between 150 and 205mph.... UNBELIEVABLE!

I received an email today from VGA to tell me that I was unsuccessful in the GTI drive day but it also said.........

Saw a silver one today at local dealership. Damn nice. My GTI was getting serviced. Pity they didn't mistakenly mix the two up and give me the newer...lol. Pretty hard to mix black with silver even with the colour blind. Damn!
So who here has a GTI (that's still fairly new) and is getting one?

I probably will, even though I'm not going to buy one and nor is my mother - she's hanging out for the R20

You never know your luck, there's a guy in the UK that ordered a 3dr S3 to his spec, a few months later when it turned up at his dealer it was a 5dr, haha.

Just got an email today from VW dealer in Osborne Park Perth. They now have a GTI to test drive!

I came this . close to divorce when picking my Mk V up form service yesterday.. if i'd have come home with a Mk VI GTI, i'd be sleeping in it!

This red one was $58880 drive away, leather, roof, DSG, big stereo.. im sure there were other extras, i didnt get around to reading the sign, too busy drooling!

I saw a red one on 18s at VWA HQ the other day. looked awesome.

A mate of mine went to the press launch this week. he had the Mazda3 MPS all week last week, which was still very fresh in the mind. He said the Golf is a much better product and generally awesome.
