Is there an updated version of this spreadsheet with more GTI prices? The one I have downloaded only has one GTI on it.

Just wondering what sort of prices would be realistic to aim for with the current End of Financial Year Sale currently on with free CTP, Stamp Duty, Dealer Delivery and Rego.

Really no more than you'd normally be able to bargain for, it's just that a decent portion of your negotiation is already done for you! VW Group Australia / The Dealer still have to pay these costs, so it just comes off what you can negotiate.

Your additions forget a few things. Firstly, registration, you haven't included that at all. Also, stamp duty is calculated on the entire cost of the car, including options and dealer delivery (but excluding the ctp/rego/plates). So stamp duty is actually, $1198.65, not $1025.
But using my spreadsheet (rather than the one in this thread, which I think I've just realised has not have been updated with the new lower Golf prices), I get a total of $42,232.65 drive away (Using the details you've provided, plus a rego cost of $285, which is current for the Golf in NSW). So if you got the car for $37750, then that's a 10.6% discount.

ahhh okai, cause on the price brochure thing i got it jsut said $36004 drive away + options is extra. so i jsut worked it off that, didnt really add any of the stuff up >.>
but yea those are without the corporate discount. i think it was my first offer when i jsut dropped by after checking out the sp 25
and i checked a few other places that needs me to use my sister's name for corporate discount for a 100-200$ lower price and i forgot to mention i got this at barlo five dock

I have just signed for a 5 door GTI with the following;
Sunroof
Satnav
Carbon Steel
DSG
MDI
Tint
Camera (thrown in for free as it was available with my options)

The price I got it for was $47,000 drive away, plus I am leasing it so I subtract the GST and it works out to $42,727 net. ($2,200 corp disc + $1695.74 disc from dealer) = $47,620.01 on road without the reverse camera....see below as to how I used this.

My advice is negotiate and ask for the best price upfront, and KNOW your options and model before going into battle! I ended up using a vehicle buyer who already has the industry contacts and emailed him the "best quote" I got from a dealer so he went out and hammered them on my behalf. I got the $47,000 flat drive awaywith reverse camera by utilising the above quote, and he went and put it out to tender.

Futher to my last quote, I was not eligible for the end of year sale incl the free CTP/Stamp/DD and rego. But they will offer a futher discount on top of the corp discount as they dont have to pay for it, VW Aust does. So essentialy it is a dealer discount. S/sheeting it is the only way to go, otherwise it is easy to confuse yourself. Took me forever to get my head around the drive-away price, EX-GST price, stat charges etc etc to arrive at my "Net" cost for leasing purposes. Which was $42k figure. :>

Yeah - there are a few spreadsheets.
There is the one in this thread for which the primary purpose was to compare quotes.
There is another one in the GTI Specs and Prices thread which breaks down the individual components of on roads (at least for NSW... though since it's individualised, you can just modify it).

Picked up my new White 118 TSI Comfortline DSG 2 weeks ago from Brisbane North Side Dealer.
Only option was Floor Mats & MDI + Ipod Cable (which not fully happy with as doesn't charge Iphone 3GS)
Paid $34950.

Ordered back end of December 09 so could get the bonus tax deduction but insisted on 2010 build. End up with Feb 10 Build

it should charge 3GS as far as i know, so dont know whats going on there. Are you using the proper VW iphone/ipod cable?
