can also recommend Peter from VWnavi.com, bought my RNS510 from him and it's been great, does not come with an antenna though as it apparently comes direct from Continental (manufacturer) so I had to buy one separately ($15 on eBay), they are piss easy to install, 2 plastic cards and a screw driver to remove the trim without marking, then a torx tool, which I bought for $9 from jaycar, unplug 2 connectors, connect to RNS with gps antenna, and you're done, if you want navigation directions in the screen between the speedo and taco you will need to have the car coded...

also sports pack is great, seats are amazing, and the wheels look nice

You definitely can use the corporate discount. I picked up my new TDi Golf DSG in March 2012 just before the all on road costs for free deal ran out. I got the corporate discount on top of free Rego, CTP, plates, stamp duty & dealer delivery and also got them to throw in metal paint, reversing sensors, mats, head light & bonnet protectors, side wind shields, chrome trims and mud flaps (all VW orginal accessories) for just under $34,000 drive away, so pretty happy at the time. Still very happy, what a great car it is - 900kms + per tank and getting slightly better every tank I use.

Wish you'd posted this a day earlier! I just signed off on a 5 dr GTI with electric leather seats, & metallic paint for $45,500. Was feeling good about this deal until I read your post. Out of curiosity how much discount was attributed to the corporate pricing?

How does the corporate discount work? I understand this is a discount that VW (through their dealers) offers to certain buyers, but what does that amount actually represent? Also, do dealers offer more than corporate discount (ie: such as onroads), or do they typically only offer one or the other? (typically corporate discount which seems greater)

You got leather though - they didn't sound very interested in going much lower than 45000 when i was thinking about leather as well.

I'm finalizing a novated lease via my work on a GTD this week, which allows me to get the corporate discount. The dealer advised they can only apply the current on roads deal discount or the corporate discount, not both. The corporate discount worked out a much better deal...after posts on here I was hoping both discounts could be applied, didn't work out that way

Correct me if I'm wrong forum members, but that sounds like they lied to brh1978.
I got both discounts applied, I'm in Victoria, unsure why it would be any different in QLD? Plan to pick up my car within the fortnight.
Also I thought the discounts are just rebated to the dealers by VWA? i.e. drive away cost paid by VWA and corporate discounts rebated to dealers after finalisation of the purchase?

When we bought our Jetta 3 years ago they were doing drive away deals at the time. Corporate discount worked out better. We could only use one or the other. Like to know how people are using both?

You are supposed to get both - two dealerships in NSW quoted me both discounts!!
