Status: Liner Release

For those of you who have tracked your cars, what does 'Liner Release' mean in the Status window?

My car's port of discharge is Melbourne, which is scheduled for next week, but Status window state Liner Release with yesterday's date.

I'm a little puzzled.

It means it's been booked in to be taken off the ship and handed over to Customs / compliancing - or words to that effect.

your dealer has access to the Patricks autocare dealer login in.

You can call the dealer and ask them to log in to it, and from there I guess they can email you a screen shot of where it is in the process (ie it gets a few checks done there in PK prior to being delivered to the dealer). dealer should take 2-3 days to deliver depending on accessories etc being fitted from the time it arrives in their hands.

Your car must be on the Tugela? Mine has just been released from Port Melbourne as well and should be on the way to Adelaide.

GTI: time from "Scheduled" to"Build" to Delivery

G'day Guys

My dealer told me yesterday that my GTI had moved to "Scheduled" status meaning it would be on to build in 1-3 weeks. Any idea when I could expect it based on recent experience? (dealer estimates approx 3 months so late June/early July delivery).

Used to be 4 months, or longer if your car was more unique (as far as options, paint colour, etc is concerned). A standard white Golf would generally arrive quicker than a fully kitted out Rising Blue Golf R, for example. I believe they do a bunch of the same coloured cars in one batch.
