Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • At least your quarter mile time will be better with a lighter hard disk. Though if you fill it with songs the car might bog down. Post your dynolicious results in an oversized jpeg when your done.

        • Oil service. Wanted to check to make sure the repair VW did doesnt leak coolant, it's all good. Only thing I found was a slight weeping from one of the charge pipes, probably expected with a tdi though I think.

                • Woke up at 6am.

Drove for 1 hour and a half to Volkspower as I was told to bring my car back if the exhaust was too loud and it would be fixed.

Arrived, was then told sorry, cant help you. We will call you back.

So I drove home again having wasted 4 hours of my fukcing day off work!

I think they would do it if you've made a booking. those guys are pretty busy. To get a service, 2 weeks in advance to get a "desirable day"

I booked it in one and a half weeks ago. And yes, they are always busy.. I would have been happy with a very simple - "Sorry mate".

All I can say is if you want a mechanic that knows his stuff and is genuine go see him!!! Bloody champion have deffinately found my new mechanic for tuning.. straight up honest, no marketing BS and genuinely wants to help you out unlike some 'A' holes.

Oh and after an hour of fiddling..... clicking gone! For now
