Generally, I hate black wheels or ones with an assymetric pattern. But, I don't mind the ones on the T-Roc R or the new GTI. There's other finishes that I might prefer, but I'm certainly not running out to replace or refinish either set.... -
Thanks just had a look over their site. A bloke who has fitted a smaller wheel with a 215 width tyre has his floor raised by about 5mm, so it looks like I'd be looking at around 25mm. Spare tyre on the T-Roc R
The use we have planned for the car makes a real spare, rather than a "get you home", very desirable. The underfloor cavity is quite large, and a rough measurement makes me think that the full sized 235/40/19 wheel tyre combination will just fit. Has anyone done this?. Does it fit easily or... -
My wife has just recently bought an 8.5 GTI, and red was her second choice (she got the blue), so we'd looked at it. Only ever saw it on one T-Roc though, a 140 TSI. Picked up my T-Roc R in Sydney on the 29th. Immediately drove it interstate on a permit. It did seem strange driving a car with no plates. Registered and shod now, wearing the same plate I originally had on my R32...18 years ago....Leave a comment:

Returning after a long hiatus
Back in 2007 to 2011 I had an R32, and over that period I learnt a lot from other members on this forum. Later I was half in the fold, with an S3 from 2014 until 2020. Over the last couple of months we've rejoined the VW world, first with an 8.5 Golf GTI, and now with an MY25 T-Roc R. Only very early...
