Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Today? I walked past it to get to the R36

I patted it, though, so hopefully it doesn't feel too neglected!

Did an oil swap....changed the wiper blades and replaced a number plate light bulb.

that sucks Mischa...especially with 3 cars sitting there :p

Scraped the underbelly on my way into my underground carpark.
Also did it on the way out, and the day before, and the day before that.

Oh - also had some VMR centrecaps arrive for my wheels, so they don't look so ghetto.

Took it for a 1500km service, just had a couple of little noises/rattles looked at.

The best bit was the drive to and from Penrith...about an hour each way which is a lot longer than the service took!

hahaha...oh how sad that you have to neglect him for the R36. (p.s. i hate you). haha. but seriously, which one do you prefer to drive? as soon as i start popping out kids, i'm going to the dealer to get a R36 wagon.

Man, that's a long trip for you

Don't know how old you are, but I fondly remember that trip as long as 40 years ago, when it was fun, fun, fun. Hardly any straight bits back then. Best time in 1970 was Hobart centre to Launceston centre in 1hr 52m, raining all the way, in my modded EK.

Hey Gerhard, its all straightish now and it takes 2 hours due to police presence. I am old enough to remember the windy road mate!!! There were few overtaking spots back then and yep, we used to race up there pretty quickly.
Antisocial to go crazy these days eh.
