Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Was a TDI dsg, leather, and 2000kms on the clock. One thing I noticed was the seats were higher, and that bit that everyone says isnt leather (which I know isnt normally...) was in this model. I think that is also the reason the seats were sitting higher. I must say, I didnt like it, I felt less protected, and less in control of the car.
The other thing HOW THE HELL DO YOU TDI GUYS PUT UP WITH IT!!! I was so glad to be back in the Jet with its petrol turbo goodness.

I put some racks on my car yesterday, threw a kayak on the roof and cruised up the highway at a steady 115km/h... still getting decent economy even with a massive kayak on the roof.
And then today, got back to the car (overnighter in the kayak), chucked it back on the roof, drove a few muddy tracks that probably shouldn't be driven in sports cars and repeated.
I still love my car."One art please!" --->http://benno.redbubble.com

Cant you blokes resist from keeping unrelated posts in forum topics
I added the springs to the rear struts to aid the "popper" so hatch opens auto. Might take them off though as I have noticed top mount pad distortion.
