    • Just wondering what is the service intervals that the Fuel Filter needs to be changed on a GTI?

I can't remember if mine has ever been changed.

It's some crazy huge amount like 90,000km. I think it's too much and do mine around 60,000km. They aren't overly expensive on eBay

        • Haven't done it yet today but i can feel the bleeding starting to begin... Got quoted $300 for a new ignition barrel, as ours is beginning to jam, not letting the key go in.

It's so nice to drive, but little things keep costing big money!

I'll get it done during my next service (120k).

            I'm pretty sure it's wasn't in the 60, 90 or 105k log book service.

Finally fitted the last bit of black today.
It's only taken 9 months to finish the change from beige to black.

                      • I changed the rubber gasket on my antenna. The OEM one is getting towards 8 years old and was cracked to bits. I got the replacement from a place called car masts uk.

As you can see there's some slight lifting at the front that I'm going to raise with them, but i've tested it and there's a tight seal between the base of the antenna and the roof which is the main thing for now.

Is it hard to take the intercooler out? How long does it take? I got a golf R intercooler which is just laying around..
