Reverse camera on Android DVD

I have an android DVD head unit fitted to my MKV GTI. All is well with the unit and I am now in the process of fitting the reverse camera. It, to is not OEM. The fitting instructions are a little bit light and don't seem to suit the wiring in the vehicle. I hope somebody here has already gone down this path and knows the tricks.

I have no problems, at this stage anyway as it appears straight forward, with the power pick ups for camera and light. It is the reverse trigger pick up that is the problem. The original fitting instructions were to cut the "orange wire" (in the loom that came with the head unit) if no rear camera was installed - I did so because at that time no camera was fitted.

The wiring loom that came with the camera, a separate purchase, has a trigger wire at both ends! My dilemma is - do I connect the trigger wire at the head unit to the "orange cable" that I previously cut (this goes to the canbus unit that came with head unit) after joining the cable again. I will try this and see if I pick up a power pulse at the other end if I dont get any hints from you guys. I know I can splice the camera end trigger wire to reverse light wire in behind the C pillar but I'm thinking this might not be required.

As you can see I'm a little at sea with this, particularly after pulling the boot apart and removing the rear bumper today - had to fabricate a fishplate behind the number plate light opening to take the camera.

Sounds like either should work.
My guess would be the orange wire is from a relay in the aftermarket canbus controller that is triggered on receiving a reverse signal over the canbus.
Or you can as you say connect a relay to the reverse light in the car's loom at the back.
Again, a guess, but my feeling would be that connecting to the orange wire trigger at the front may result in slightly faster power on of the camera, minimizing flickering when it is first displayed on the screen. But it could in fact turn out to be the other way around...

I have an aftermarket camera in my Octavia which is connected to a relay off the reverse light, and it does flicker a bit initially. But it also has to run through an RGBS converter to my RNS510 so this may also play into it...

Thanks Kamold for reply. Figured it out and it works well with no flickering at all. The camera kit was very inclusive. I connected the rear trigger wire to the reverse lamp wires. The included relay, looked just like a small tube with one wire at one end and two at the other, was utilised. I spliced the led lights into the number plate lights. At the front end I spliced the trigger wire into the orange wire and rejoined my previous cut. There is a power pickup for the rear camera here, it was all in the same loom as the vga cable and trigger wire. I connected the positive to an accessory point on the head unit and earthed also to the head unit.
