woo! got the tint done today. Really transforms the look of the car in my opinion!
Nothing too fancy just dropped the car off at tint-a-car in dandy this morning and they put on a midnight express tint. Not the cheapest option but i decided getting it done with a bigger company in case they destroy my door trims.

But yeah not too dark close up. But from a distance looks pretty dark which is kinda what i was hoping for. ive had trouble on my mk3 with it being just a bit too dark at night. so hopefully this will be orright

im playing with the idea of not getting the rear valance coded and just replacing it with a rieger one. What do you guys think? I reckin it might look hot on a white car!

If you don't mind me asking, what did the R32 tail lights set you back? Are they expensive? Were you able to change them over yourself? Do they just slot it, or is there any wiring changes?

they install really easy. If you were to order them from tm tuning they would probly set you back around $400AUD landed. Locally id hate to think what a dealer might charge for them? You need to make sure you get the RHD drive ones. They just plugged into the exising wiring. LHD ones may be a different story though?

theyre very easy to install. Pulling back the carpet in the boot is the hardest part.

I wonder how they'd look on a black GTI...

                          time to revive my thread
Mods have been kept in check up until now. Just going for lots of little subtle things. Im not one for anything overly outrageous
popped a set of these in the other day

I reckon they look a little less tacky than the standard blanked off ones.

also toying with the idea of eyelids.
What do u guys think of either of these styles?
I kinda like the slim mattig ones cos they come in a gloss black finish which matches the GTI front grille very well. pics dont really do them justice unfortunately!
But the kamei ones are a bit more agressive but are a matte black so would need to be either glossed or body coloured.

                          what do u guys think?

                            step... away... from the eyelids.
I can see how it looks meaner, but it' always looks a bit too ricey/chavvy for my liking.

Wouldn't you need to go for quad exhaust along with the reiger rear?
Seems like an expensive route, but a very good excuse if you were already considering a new exhaust.

i dunno ive never considered subtle eyelids ricey. I have seen some shockers before though so i know what you mean!

Quad exhaust doesnt have to cost crazy money but its certainly not cheap. But then if i was worried about saving a dollar I woulda bought a hyundai

Quad zorst looks ace on the Mk5 IMO. And I'm a fan of the Kamei ones colour coded.
