Quick question, and sorry if its a stupid one. Does the stage2 (DP) increase the exhaust sound over stock? One of my favourite things about the mkv gti is that it does not draw attention when being driven hard.

It all depends on which hardware you use. Our DPs are made from quite thick stainless steel so dont drone like some.
Just tootling around town there isnt a massive difference but when you get on it there is a bit more turbo noise and up top the note is a bit more raspy due to the high flow cat. Certainly nothing overly offensive though

Short answer - yes. My friend has a MK5 GTi with Eurojet dump pipe and his exhaust noise has changed tone as well as getting louder and rapsy. I have a Scorpion dump pipe on my car and the exhaust noise is definetly louder and raspy. Im going to get a resonator fitted soon which i hope will make the sound more like the stock exhaust was.

You can also opt for the REVO SPS+ hand controller which allows YOU to set your own settings.
