  • stage 1 chip upgrade for golf gti mkv

    Hi guys,

Just wondering how much gains i would get from a chip upgrade in terms of kw, and is it worth it?

What brand are you looking at, Davo?

APR Stage 1, you should see about 188kw (252 hp) and 411nm (303lb-ft.).

Software is the cheapest horsepower increase available, mate.

Call 1300 730 949 or email info@goapr.com.au for your closest APR dealer.

    Cheers,

    -Chris.

Give a HPX Australia (Viezu dealer) call, the Viezu Motorsport tune works very well with the stock hardware.

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

Plenty of other options though. So don't jump in without looking at all of them. APR is by no means the cheapest, although you can 't fault them for features.....

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

            No problems, Davo.

            RRP is $1495.00

Depending on who you get to tune your car, that price may vary.

Gavin is 100% right. Do your homework. In the end, the direction you take should be your own, informed decision.

                Hahaha. Of course!

Like anything, they all have their "strengths and weaknesses". I simply chose the company that best suited my goals and needs. No different to the individual doing the same for their purchase of a tune.

I've already spoke to APR dealers and they've got 15% of atm, so I'd be paying around $1300, which I'm happy with.
But I guess I will keep looking around before jumping in.
I'm Mainly looking which brand can get me the most gains in power...

They are all usually within 5kw of each other which is not noticable.
What you really want to see is the power/torqu curves to make sure you don't get any that spike or die off early.

I think I might just go with the APR tune as I've had good feedback from friends that they are quality and worth the money.
I mean I love my car and I want the best for it aswell.
