We've now had the little blue beast for a week, and it's already done 1650 kms.

Overall, we're very pleased. Performance is excellent. Road noise is impressively low, and ride quality (on some pretty poor country roads) has been surprisingly good. The DSG is working very well, with little real need to interfere with it (though of course we do).

Negatives...well we still need to pull the manual out before we can do almost anything. I guess that will pass in a couple of weeks. 98 octane is a bit of a pain once you get out of the larger towns. Only mechanical issue is a knocking noise, that seems to come from under the car, roughly in the area of the rear seat. It's only evident at low speeds. In previous cars I'd be suspicious of the exhaust tapping on something but in this I have no idea. Anyway the dealer can sort it out.

I ordered my R32 3dr, sunroof, bluetooth, ipod and in black last saturday and it should arrive here on Dec 10 and should get it after that. I traded my MK5 GTi for it.

What wheels are they? More photos STAT! They don't look like the normal ones - kinda look like the ones off the Mk4 R32 wich IMO are the best looking OEM wheels ever made.

The Omaynt replace the Zolder's. The wheels and an "R32" badge on the steering wheel instead of the "R" badge are (apparently) the only changes to the MY08 model. Don't think wood grain can be ordered as an option anymore either. Great car - happy driving

you should get a new front chrome piece from japan, it doesnt have that big black bit [made for euro plates] protrouding out the sides. a guy in sydney had it done, looks lots better.
