Or a stock GTI if he's lucky.

Power to weight you're probably right with that.
Although I can never really tell if you two guys are just taking the piss

Out of the box a GT TSI w/dsg is 70kg lighter up front than a GTI w/dsg.
I think that goes a long way towards the on-road similarities experienced in real life.
With his additional weight stripping, I wouldn't know where to place my bet.

        $1620. Do it Polar.

I only know the weight difference as I'm wanting to move my KWv3 to a new GTI.
Bittersweet timing, as I was really looking forward to feeling this tune on an otherwise standard TSI.

Personally I would do it this month and get all the extra programs as this is ~$1000 worth of extra features. You get the pin code lockout so no-one knows that you have a tune (when in stock mode anyway), you can put the security lock feature on the car if you go to beach so even if your keys are stolen they can't start the car without inputting a code, valet mode can be good if you're dropping the car in for new tyres, stereo, tint etc etc.

How much of a hastle is the security code option to start each time? is it quick to get it going. I had a pin code on my 2 door subaru and it was a PITA!

Anyone got it on their GTI?

You don't have to use it everytime, you can turn it off and on. You'd use it places where your car key isn't secure like the beach or away from home etc.

                    ....Good Point.....
Bit off noobiness here... How does the valet and security lock work? do you press a button or is there a sequence etc etc.....

You use the cruise control stalk. If you go to the APR website you can download the instructions and they go into detail on how it works. It's a PDF in the support section I think (grab the one for the GTI as the GT TSI one may not be up yet and should work the same way).
