Nope - same fuel pump on all the 2.0 FSI's - S3 as well use the same as the base GTI.

    the injectors are certainly different.

    Not sure on the camshaft.

What does that do to the lag and general drivability?

The lag is the same, thats a product more of turbo size than actual tuning (you know, exhaust gas required before spool).

If you jump out of a regular GTI into a K04 version (ie: Pirelli) - you will notice more "lag", about another 800rpm. When you chip both of them, full spool is still ~ 800rpm different.

The Pirelli (K04) then absolutely crushes the K03 in midrange & top end - well worth it IMHO !

Welcome to the forum PirelliAC. Hope you find it very informative & enjoyable

I'll post this just to clear up the difference's between the GTI & Pirelli engine, as some people think it's just the tune. It's a completely different engine with a different engine code & has nothing to do with the GTI or S3.

              - The Recircualtion valve (blow off valve) has been moved from the turbo to an external position.
              - The turbo charger has a larger turbine whell, compressor & compressor wheel are larger & it's all made of cast steel
              - It has a hotter thermostat from 80°C (GTI) to 87°C
              - The capacity of the injector nozzles have been increased
              - A new cyl. head with new valve seat's
              - Complete metal intercooler
              - The engine block main bearing cap's & pedestal's are reinforced
              - The Conrod's are have bigger rod bolt's & new bearing's
              - The piston have 21mm gudgeon pin's
              - The piston top ring is improved as well.

Looking through ETKA I see that the Audi S3 and the Edition 30 share the same short block, same turbo and similar intercooler.

The Seat Leon Curpa R also seems to have the same parts.

                    Audi S3 (195 KW) is a BHZ code, ED30 (169KW) is a BYD code.

I was at Vw Barloworld getting just a quick oil change on my GTI and i was having a look at the Pirelli golf, that was there getting final inspection before some lucky person was going to get the keys to it. The mechanic told me that that was not a standard Pirelli and it has a reflash done because that's what the new owner wanted before he took the delivery of it. He has also mentioned to me that i should ask for the key to their caddy that they use for deliveries because that has the reflash from the same company but he did not say from whom. So i went and asked the service guys for the keys just to go up to the servo to get some smokes, which they looked at me strangely but oh well. Well when they gave me the keys and showed me where the car was after some convincing. I was so amassed and shocked at this thing on how it just looks so hot for a van looking thing. I walked around it couple of times just admiring the looks of it and then i had to look under the bonnet to see what it is. It’s a TDI with dsg gearbox and Racing badge on both steering wheel and back of car. So i started the car and then took off and i tell you what it absolutely hammers of the line and the torque is so unbelievably smooth and feels so linear. Does any one know what reflash would this be...?

Guy is this one of your reflashes...? Or would you know whose it is...?

Are their any dealers in Sydney doing flashs like APR or Revo, i would get one as my car is novated and it would get absorbed into my maintenance allotment for the year.

                            Cheers
