  • GTI and Pirelli Engines

    Hi All

I was wondering if there are any differences between the GTI and Pirelli engines apart from the higher output on the Pirelli.

There's really no need to be sarcastic with a newbie, Maverick. Not everyone comes from the same knowledge-base as yourself.

Welcome to the forum GTI-Pirelli ... take my word for it, not everyone will flame your posts on here. Enjoy your dub and don't let this experience stop you asking questions.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Yeah, expect some GTI owners to be jealous.
And avoid the 'tex. unless you're going to be reppin 'bags and poking fatness. Kids these days eh?

      Welcome to the watercooler!

          sorry about the rude intro.

its basically a detuned Audi S3 engine

I think the Pirelli is pretty good (excellent) value - just for the extra engine bits alone - it has some awesome potential locked in there.

If it was available in a manual, I would be driving one right now

So does that mean you can tune it up easily ??

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

really easy on this baby - add a fuel pump, intercooler & exhaust (and software to match) & they make really, really good numbers

APR reflash alone puts it up to 229kw. certainly nothing to sneeze at..!

Doesn't it already come with a higher output fuel pump?
