      No. I ordered part no 1007. Apparently the difference is the bottom of the pad.

            Read the owner's manual.

            The jacking point's are on the sill panels & there are arrow's pressed into the sill panel to indicate this.

            The sill jacking point's are also much thicker too. Like 5mm thick! You won't do any damage at all.

            You don't need any fancy tool's or jacking pad's. It's strong enough.

            Where do you think the dealer's put the hoist arm's on all your car's?

              Yes, I watched them at Solitaire this week, they have very thick Foam/Rubber blocks.

                I don't believe also that any mechanic who cares would use a trolley jack without rubber pad. Metal on metal is no good it will damage paint and deform metal at these jacking points. (Despite of tough paint on sill panel and stronger metal-the front of the golf is quite heavy).

                  I'm not sure about how cars stand up these days but when I was fixing cars, they still crushed at the jacking points if you weren't careful - Fords were particularly bad.

                  It doesn't hurt to take some precautions.

                      Haven't been here for a long time, Have been fighting Governments proposed mandatory internet censorship... Handing out flyer and son on..

                      For lifting my car I use trolley jack and 4x4 piece of treated pine left over from when i built me pergola
