Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

So as a few people know. i've got a 1.8t converted MKIV which i've had for some years now. after having a slight mishap on my way home from work last week. (snapped engine mount bolts) i have secured a new daily driver in order to finally build the mk4 i have always wanted.

here is a few photos to catch up on whats going on.

so gross under all the covers...

Ill be updated on progress slowly as i run out of motivation alot. (being a mechanic has its downsides )
heres my list of what i will be doing.

    Interior

    - decent seats (Maybe some bride low max's?)
    - CAE Billet shifter
    - Stripped out, with the usual like steering wheel etc.

    Exterior
    - 17's with semi slicks
    - Big **** off aero.
    - Even bigger **** off wing

I seen you out at the drags a few weeks back .
Are you running the big port AGU/AEB head ?
Whats your eta to finish it and go out to the drags again ?

Was running bigport head, k03s with stg 2 tune. Quickest run was something like 14.1 I'll be back there on the 23rd of this month! Look out for a purple wrapped SSV VF commodore.

As for eta. I'm only an apprentice mechanic so progress is slow. Hopefully be built by the end of the year atleast.

Is the AGU block not a 06a?
