Driving back from work yesterday and there were a few noises I wanted to check out since I haven't driven it properly for ages. Securing screw for rotor had snapped on passengers side aswell as the nut on my driveshaft wasn't tight so gave it a quick zip with the impact wrench and away I go!.
Need to figure out why it doesn't accelerate quickly enough. Maybe a boost leak so Ill test it out

Great read mate, spewing I didn't do it earlier I just picked up a set of aluminium trim from the UK when I could have just pulled the optic stuff out of wreck at work but never mind.

Definitely made the right choice sticking with this beast that navy blue is gorgeous and it wasn't available on the GTi.

                How time flies!

How life gets in the way! The last 2 years I have been flat chat at work, 6 day weeks which has meant I have sacrificed alot including my cars. So lets wind back a bit. Jetta has now gone, I bought a 2009 tiguan and fixed that as I've always wanted one.

Late last year I managed to score a wrecked mk1 audi TT to sell for some extra cash.

Then early this year I went back to the auctions and picked up a 2009 Audi A4 Sline 6spd manual 2.0T. Once it goes through inspections then I'll br driving it around until it sells.

Fast forward to this week. Got the week off work and wanted to get back into the MK4! So Monday I got the interior back together after installing some R32 seats and wiring in the heating feature!

After much research over the years I collected some audi TT MK1 suspension and spindles. I checked my KW V1s and they have the mounts for the sway bar links so I could run a appropriate seay bar. Painted the 312mm brakes I bought from Lachlan 5 years ago and back into it on Tuesday!

                R32 bushed pressed in!

                280mm vs 312mm, big upgrade!

                Stripped and ready to go.

FWD sway bar vs AWD sway bar.

                Subframe out and degreased.

Tie rod ends swapped from left to right and after talking to Dylan and Carlos I found out that I needed to rotate them 180 degrees!

Brakes went in, had to fit the pads, and bleed brakes!

Love your work mate. Good to see it getting some love.

How'd you go with the bleeding brakes? Did you have to cycle the ABS pump and go through all that bs?

I just gravity bled them for now, I want to pressure bleed them once it's on the road.
