      Been quoted 1500 for my slip system.all custom made with mild steel. Downpipe back including tips and muffler but not cat. Sounds ok? Any suggestions of muffler and cat?

        Seems about, right mine was $1600 custom made but it has a cat. Any straight through design muffler will sound and flow good, just don't get a cannon lol

          OK,
          I'm looking at a 3" to 2.5" exhaust, I need to try to get this as cheap as possible, so I think the cheapest options from 42DD are...

          • "VW Mk4 1.8T Value Line 3" Downpipe", with "Street Series" cat, and "2.5" adaptor" (I assume?).

          • "VW Mk4 2.5" Cat-Back", with "2.5" Pipe Size" and "Hidden Tip", and I assume "GTI" option, even though their GTIs are 2 doors?

          Also, will we each NEED one of those O2 sensor spacers? Or is that only if you have CEL issues after install?

                ok lads, I've emailed all details to Greg.
                I've asked him to give us the option of Value Line 3" Downpipe "Street Series" cat and 2.5" Cat-Back with corresponding tip as well as the standard flanged system for each of us. I'll post Greg's reply with pricing for each individual system as soon as i get a reply.

                  just to the interested parties who messaged me about my exhaust. Looks like it will be staying on for a while longer, as the missus has T'd up another car in the future via her parents.
                  '02 GTI (clicky) - REFLEX SILVER - VIEZU race tune. VAR design 2.5inch stainless steel dump pipe with 100cell cat into 2.5" billyboat stainless cat back, Forge TIP, N75, Audi DV, ghetto CAI, FK-AK s coilovers, tunerdone LEDs, Clarion CZ301E sound stage.

                              You could but ideally the AFR and ECU probes should be before the cat. For heating up purposes.

                              Any exhaust shop would have spare blanks I am sure.
