Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yeah, I'll remove it to fit then reinstall it as it is great for a bit of scrapage protecting as well as helping with aerodynamics at higher speed.

It's part number S1J0825231 and is about $550ish from VW (when my panel beater sourced it through them). So it's not cheap for a piece of plastic haha

Easiest solution would be to remove your front under tray to avoid having to hack it up for the Cupra R lip to fit. With the under tray off, you can see how the splitter will fit.

Not great. Not great at all. The spring perches were the wrong size as it turns out my KW V3's are actually linear 60mm race spring style in the front. Some people I asked said they were stock size. So I will have to reorder the bottom part of the camber plates unfortunately. And the Fluidampr crank pulley is not on yet as my mechanic did not have the correct tool. Apparently the torque setting is hugely different than that on the 2.0s and 1.8s etc. So he has that on order and it will go in again once the new Camber Plate bottoms arrive

Which spring perches do you have, I have weitec gt which are essentially kw v1 and have two spring perches. The previous owner had bilstein pss10 and had them made to suit the car. I'm happy to do a swap if they are likely to fit yours?

Did you fit the camber arms, crank pulley and Cupra R lip? It's good seeing you take your time modding this car and not rushing into things. What are you thinking of for your number plates?

                          Hahahaha, Corey
Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you mean muppet as the number plate? Something like "VRSCHS" would be awesome on your R32 Corey if it's available.

                              Hey Jed,

Would you mind giving me some feedback on the KW V3's? I do like the ability to adjust rebound/compression to my taste.

                              Cheers.

                                AMAZING!

They are very comfortable on the street and completely transformed the feeling of the car even in the moderate settings I use for the street. When I firm them up for the track they are also great. The adjustability is awesome as on the really hard settings I use for track stuff it is pretty uncomfortable on S++tty Brisbane roads. I would highly recommend them.

I hope that helps with your decision Robbie!
