Adzismad, the stock offset on mk4s is +35, so your aim is to get something equal to that or lower.

If you get a higher offset, say +45, then the wheels will fit, but sit further inside the guards and look skinnier, which i would suggest is not desirable.

Now, if you like those Enkeis, which dont really fit well, then what about these?

and sizewise? - they ever come staggered!

I got my wheels from Raderwerks and the delivery cost over $600..... The wheels themselves were actually over $1000 but the dude wrote $800 as the value for me without me even asking so I didn't pay duty.

            Quick one. Noobish question lol

I got my OZ Racing Wheels delivered

            18x8 et35

What size tyre should I go? Will 18x8 et35 fit without messing with the Hicon GTs or rubbing without spacers and such?

what are Hicon GTs? coilovers or cup kit?
if coilovers. just depends how low you want to go.
and stretching a tyre will look a little off on those offsets/widths. so just stick to a 225/40 or 215/40

coilovers may mean you run into problems when winding the front adjuster down to lower the car. it might come in contact with the tyre.
I removed my helper spring to give me another 1" or so drop. im running wider wheels but even with stretched tyres the adjuster was touching the inside side wall so had to wind them up 5mm or so. Just depends on how low they go and how low you want the car I guess

Yeah, well I have 225/45 on it now. So at least I know 225/40's will fit 100%, i'll just adjust the coils to suit.

At the moment, I have a 2.5cm gap between the fender and the middle of the tire sidewall. Its plenty of room at the moment and looks amazing. I'll just do the same when I have the new wheels on

The wheel doesnt come into contact with the coil at all with 225's on so I'll stick with that.

225/40/18 will fill the front guards nicely at et35 but without adjustable rear control arms the rears will will just get more camber the more you lower it so the guards will look a little empty and the rear tires will wear unevenly. Spacers will help fill the void for less money but will widen the rear track marginally.
