No idea to be honest as I have never really looked at offset and things like that with wheels. It is up on stands atm so I could pop one off and have a look at the rim to see if it is marked anywhere. This is the only place I could find them, I am sure there are others but gives you an idea... wheels were on the car when I bought it.
Audi RS4 Sport Rims 18x8
Found them somewhere else, seems they come in an offset of 30 or 35, as I said not sure which I have.Last edited by Coralon; 21-08-2011, 07:11 PM.2003 Bora 4Motion

The wheels are 17x9.5 up front and 17x11.5 out back.I have a 205 45 up front and a 215 45 in the rear and it doesn't mess with the AWD at all.

yes, but you could apply something like that to your car with less stretch..
say a 215/45 and 225/45 if the rear is going to stretch lots more. dont quote those numbers... just a example...

if your going 235 in the rear maybe a 225 front? maybe you could get some used 235s to make the rolling diameter smaller
lol maybe first put the 235s on the front, disable the AWD and do some burnouts.
You had 235s on 18x8.5 +35 right? They fit under the guards normally?

Since I understand this subject a bit better now I've improved my Google searches =]
I found a thread stating that with the Haldex it can take a slight difference in F-R rolling diameters/circumferences but you shouldn't go above 3% variation. So the 225/40/18 and 235/40/18 combo is only about 1.2% difference so should be fine.. Also seeing other people experiencing no problems is a good sign!
P.S. I shoulda not tried to be so cool and just got normal wheels...

I had 225/35s on a 19x8.5 et35 and I trashed in the inside of them. rubbed on the coilovers and inside of the guard.
Now run 215/40 on a 18x8.5et30 and its prefect daily specs imo.
Go for the 225 and 235 then, your rear is a lot wider from memory so a bit more stretch should help.

I didn't want to put my coils on until I sorted out warranty issues with the dealer I bought the car off.. It's still unresolved, but the 3 month warranty is up but now it's in the hands of Consumer Affairs.
Ahh damn I'm busy this weekend.. Gotta get my tyres and service my parents' car. They've been driving their Yaris around HEAPS for over a year without a service. *facepalm* Next time there's a cruise I'll be down for sure!

For what it's worth, when I had the competition controller in my Bora, the rear diff was unhappy with 235/45R17 fronts and 225/45R17 rears. Once I fixed that, I replaced the haldex fluid and filter entirely, just to be safe.
The stock controller's a lot more forgiving as it doesn't engage the rear wheels anywhere near as often, but once engaged, you'll have the same issues I did where the difference in speed between front and rear axles will cause a bit of bind in the diff, which'll make it rather unhappy.Nothing to see here...
