check how much the wheel bolts stick out the back of the wheel too, might be able to get out of ordering new bolts for the spacers
Haha i was afraid that WA was the same and was wondering how i get out of it. Thank god for auto one though know more than the DPI do.
Well ordered some hub centric spacers from dub addiction so hopefully they get here before the cruise

So, Finally got around to installing my fk projector headlights. When they first came i wasn't too sure about them thinking the angel eyes are a bit wanky. They seem to be pretty decent with some minor flaws and cheap parts. All in all though now they are installed im pretty pleased with them but i will see how they are down the track.
This is how the car looked before:
First step was to remove the bumper by taking out the torx screws under the grille (5 in total), two behind the "fog lights" (one each side), And the screws (and bolts on mine) inside the wheel arch
And then gently slide the bumper off.
Onces the bumpers off you have access to the two screws under the headlight, Undo the two underneath then the two on top, Disconnect the cable and wola your headlight should be in your hand (after pulling)
Next is swapping the levelling motors over. This is done by removing the cable, then twisting the motor and it should just pop out (if you don't understand look at the hole, it should explain it) Once the motors out you will need to disconnect it from the headlight on the ball end by sliding it out of the channel. Install into the new headlights in the reverse manner.
Levelling motor
Twisted
Out
Installed in new headlight.
Next you simply swap the fog light and turn signal bulbs over.
fog light (note should actually pull the connector out of the little black housing
Turn signal
All installed
Have fun trying to install the weather proofing on the back, I suggest using your favourite poking stick
Installed
Comparison
Next step is to simply reinstall them the reverse of taking them out. All though before you go through the trouble of putting the bumper back on make sure they work first
Cable extender may be needed as the plug has moved
All thats needed after this is a headlight adjustment. Will post later. They are quite over the place.
Angel eyes are growing on me at the moment, Thinking i might do a diy retrofit set with a glass cover to stop the stupid fogging of the lenses. The light output of the new headlights is freaken amazing, So much better than the old foggy reflectors. The lights seem to be of decent quality but the connects are pretty cheap and there are some little design flaws.
High beams are good. Don't like the look of the outside of the projector but small complaint. Also cant see one of the angel eyes due to the bonnet but that's my fault. If you do get these headlights i'd suggest changing the angel eyes over even though its a huge pain in the ass.
This is what i had done to the headlights before today.
Pulled the plug to access all the bulbs for the angel eyes
Changed to LED's. Make sure you test they work before putting back in as LEDS have polarity
Installed new globes as they have individual compared to original
nice write up.
good to see these lights work nicely without HIDs. How much did the H7 globes cost you?
when you say you changed to LEDs was that the halos? could you access them all (8 in each light if i remember correctly)? was thinking if i was too run this sort of light of removing at least one of the halo rings as I personally dislike them.

Yeah they are quite nice, Not as good as my dads euro but still nicer than stock. After i took the plug out yeah barely. You don't have to have them wired up so they wont run. You could also go to the extent of cracking the lights open (By baking at 180degrees) then removing the halos. I didn't think much of them either but i don't think they look too bad now, the leds i got aren't the super blinding so its not that noticeable.

Bl-leds.com.au, It so happens i have 16 left over if you want them for the price of shipping (also have good fun removing your lights again )
Dude that would be awesome thanks! I'll send you a pm.
Good work man. I also think angel eyes are wanky but my car came with them (and I secretly like them) so it's not my fault I have them.
I need to adjust my headlights. Do I need to take the bumper off too to do it? It is really tight in there...
Depends on how they have done the adjusters on your after markets. The OEM ones can be done without removing anything at all, On mine its the two little cog like things on the back with a phillips head on them, Going to be fun to adjust as im not sure even my stubby one will fit.

mine are white letters on black so they go with any car that i might put them on. The front is the slimline and the rear is the full size one, i think the best way to go. They are polycarbonate too, i needed to fit 8 letters, matel ones can take 7 and polys can take 9. Costed about 450 6 years ago
