The advice I got from ECS was that they're suitable for our cars, and to make sure you get the kits to cover both right and left side (ECS list them as "passenger" and "driver" respectively) to ensure you cover everything you need for both doors).

you only need the cable regulator if the window has fallen in already. so generally you have one stuffed window which needs a new reg, then you replace the clips on the other one before it screws up too.


the cable gets all messed up once the motor runs with broken clips.
lets assume your drivers side has gone, get the us passenger compete kit.

yeah ok fair call... though i was just thinking of buying a repair kit the next time i purchase something from ECS, so it would be something i would have on standby, meaning i can't predict which one is going to fail on me! i'm pressuming drivers side (so passenger us) is more likely to fail, but who's to say... there's not much saving if i by it by itself when it actually fails on me, cos the postage costs take it pretty close to the local costs... maybe i'll make it that when my window reg goes, i'll buy the kit, along with the front suspension refresh kit and some PSS9 coilovers (ok now i want my window to break!)

Just a quick update for all those participating in this group buy:

All but four people have paid now (no names, you know who you are). Unfortunately this means we've missed ordering by close of business Friday US time, but I will send another email/PM combo to those who haven't paid, and as long as any inter-bank transfers are initiated by 2pm Sydney time on Monday, we should have all the money sorted on Tuesday and be able to get the order off to ECS.

To echo Dyldo's words, this is one mega-sized SoB GB. You guys need to know that goodfella's been helping me out as well, as he has had experience with a number of GBs in the past - there's no way I could have done this on my own, it got too big.

Just a question so i can hop in the next big group order, is this ECS the place to go for pretty much everything, like price wise are they the same/better than what ill get charged here at my local suspension place or whatever. im looking at some springs and a bush replacement kit for my GTi

Shipping to Brisbane

I'm making 1 trip to Sydney early March and 1 to Melbourne (via Sydney) end March (yes attending the F1 GP) by car and will have space to bring some stuff from the GB back up to Brisbane.

When will the stuff arrive? If within this time frame, happy bring a boot full to BNE for FREE .....
