regarding taxes and duty, apparently due to a free trade agreement, there is no duty on car parts from the states, so you only pay 10% gst on shipments over a grand?
Is this right?

We are awaiting correspondence from our customs broker regarding the exact amount which will be charged, but the understanding we have after significant research is that we will be charged 5% duty on the invoice cost of the parts, and then 10% GST on the total value of the shipment including duty and freight charges.
And this is all before customs broker fees as well. I believe the few cents per dollar that we gained with a favourable exchange rate will cover this.Nothing to see here...
