Picked up my bora from the slow ass repairs and im happy YES they took almost FOUR months to give me back my car and YES they washed the engine and made me drive home on 5 - 4 cylinders instead of 6,
but its alright my boo is back home shiny and new once again.
Thanks guys! Only problem i face, is where the rubber thing was, over the hole on the old wiper, it's left a ring around the hole, im not sure what it is, ive tried rubbing it off but have had no success? What to try use??
I've got exactly the same problem after I deleted my wiper mate, it's a little annoying. I've scrubbed and scrubbed away to no avail.
Car's looking good too, can't wait to have another look at it this Friday.
this arrived today, pretty quick delivery...
had a quick look beside the battery where it will go past, not much room at all there!?
suppose i'll work it out on the w/e when i put it on.
For people trying to remove the ring after wiper delete, try a little toothpaste on a soft damp cloth, go gentle and it works well to clean marks from glass.

plus it prevents tartar build up and leaves your breath smelling minty fresh!

nope! See how u go, other people get various piping around there somehow.
Lifted my front end 55-60mm, removed adapters (after much strain...), got my bora 16s balanced and a puncher filled. 3 of the wheels balanced perfect and cleaned up amazing, the other two werent far behind. Fitted two of those to the car where i have lifted it.
Managed to flatten my battery as the car hasnt been driven in two weeks yet has been pumping out the tunes everytime im out there.
Managed to attract a small a-hole stone to my accessory belt (not the one batman has btw) and it shredded the inner part where there is no ridge line. Anyway, the sound coming from the engine was like it was chewing on a gravel sandwich. it was awful and I actually thought my dual-mass had crapped out.
$180 tow (I now have the guy's number for private towing - anyone want a good towy in Sydney PM me, he was awesome) to Loon's@Camden GTI and I am now set.
Had a strange vibration via the steering wheel on turning the wheel at speeds above 60kph but it seems to have righted itself. Aircon appears much colder too.
VWW tip - don't leave the "otherwise useless" weather guards off - if mine was there it may have repelled the annoying stone.
