There has to be an easier way to service the modshack filter than cutting it open. I wonder if it's possible to get a clamp to hold it together so you don't have to re-glue it...
        Nothing to see here...

i hear you, but having done one filter change already i can't see a way around it. all you're doing is cutting the glue though, no big deal. it's rather easy tbh. Then the trick is to not over-oil the bugger once she's cleaned, as i am told they are a MAF-killer.

            • Well yesterday i installed my ECS poly lower control arm bushes, day before that i installed my H&R 21mm rear sway bar. Just waiting for the wheels to get back from the powdercoater Monday and we should be good to go after i had a little issue with my cooling system *fingers crossed*.

              • What colour for your rims man ?

                • Bronze. Not really the colour i was hoping for when i went to the powdercoater, but i took at a stab at it, hopefully it turns out!

                    • Considering i was going to go GT3 RS orange i've tamed it down just a little bit

But yeh, got a little bored of the black on black, as nice as it was, thought i'd change it for a bit, if i dont like it i'll go back, simple.

Was going to explore getting them wet painted instead, to get more of the bronze/copper colour i wanted, but they where asking something like $100 per wheel, just for the paint!

I paid $45 for wheel for sandblasting and powdercoating! so they can stick that! It's going to be more of like the bronze you see anodized on aluminium door frames for example. So eh, we'll see! It's getting a new wrap in KU36s, too! Not to mention being bolted on with 20mm spacers rear and 10mm front

Really keen to see what difference the kU36s, H&R swaybar and the new Poly bushings do, though!

Very keen on your thoughts when you start chucking it around with the track difference F to R. I have 5mm spacers on rears and nothing on fronts and it feels TERRIBLE! feels like it is drunk and on snowboards.

                        • Dyldo, to be completely honest, my car hasn't yet seen the track, and even when it does, it will be a rare thing. Besides that, i haven't really heard much negativity towards them when looking at buying them, i think if you get a wheel alignment with the spacers in mind, you should be pretty right!

/but, we'll see, worst that can happen is i'll take them off.

Sounds like you need to upgrade all your bushings to poly bushings M8. How many K's on the car. Are you getting any sort of body role or a slight body twist or does the car not feel responsive when your making hard turns. Also depends on suspension setups, bushings, sway bars, strut bars, chassis braces/stiffeners, tyres-all these will effect the handling characteristcs of the car. I tracked mine on spacers/adapters with stretched tyres with no effects what so ever. With spacers/adapters your increasing the stance/width of the tyre track(making the car wider)I must say after upgrading the front arms bushings to the Ecs ones it is more responsive than ever-like a big slot car, but I have also upgraded every bushing in the R and it handles great. But I'm going to upgrade to the rear front control arm bushings to the 034 aluminum bushings instead, and Upgrade to 4 semi-slicks but not here I'll wait till I get home. Hope this helps.
Also I have some extra Ecs rear control arm polly bushings/camber kit and new oe front control arms bushings(rear bushings) if anyone is interested.
                            Cheers Jay

                              • Well, got my wheels back today, got the KU36s on and had my .:R bolted back together!

Getting a wheel alignment tomorrow morning because when i did the control mount pushings i f**ked the Toe in on the passenger side! Causes a hideous wobble on the road ahha. Will get that seen to then i'm so keen to see how these bushings, tyres and swaybar go!

Also did the ecs rear wiper delete, looks so clean!

Car stands so much nicer now with spacers. <333333
