  • Fixed vacuum leak by replacing the lines with generic fuel lines. Had a bit of trouble getting it over some of the barbs. Ended up fixing that section but broke the hard plastic down the line so got another vacuum leak to fix. Also changed the fuel lines over. Installed fire extinguisher and opened up door yet again to look at the door module. Found the problem turns out the 4th micro-switch. Managed to fix it but turns out something else has broken and now my door wont lock. So have to fix that soon. Also going to replace the stupid plastic mounts with nuts and washers. Saved about $200 that way so im happy

    • Not sure but it's a tune that's good for 500hp. I'm guessing it'd be the software that they usually run with the Stage 3 turbo kit since my hardware is along the lines of the stage 3 kit

I was impressed with the C2 software, but got it from the UK instead as the US guys didnt reply to emails!

        • Good to hear it worked well! I found chris in the US is ok with replying to e-mails, just need to bug him sometimes. I'll be keen to get it onto the dyno once done and log AFR's , timing, target afr etc etc as well as of course hopefully a nice big power figure

          • Fixed Vacuum leak finally. Now idles well. Also finally managed to fix the door module, it turns out it was the dreaded 4th micro switch and not the corrosion. Replaced the plunger with a little bit of rusted nail and wolah it works again. Light comes on tell me when lights are on and all is good again. Also cleaned it.

              • Been having a random miss with the car for a while now and got around to hooking up vagcom today only for it to run fine ........ but did discover that the problem might be down to a poor maf connection (maybe a wire broken internally ) causing the random issue and the random error code relating to maf (ive got 2 mafs and same error pops up randomly)
Aslo been having lots of the wet stuff fall from the sky so while there was a break I took the chance to give the car a quick wash n wax to keep up with all the weather being dumped on it.

                  • Got my hands on some G12 ++. Mixed 50-50 and put in the boot. The Golf is drinking about 100ml of water each fortnight or so. I figured it would be better to top up with coolant rather than water as it will eventually dilute too low.
