That, your radio turning itself off overnight and comfort modules not working properly are the first clues to a battery on its way out. Replaced mine about 2 months ago....2nd battery since new.

The people responsible for that section of the M5 have paid as per the quote I received for the work - I had to sign a form saying they were not to blame and I'd not make further claims over this incident, which I was happy to do.Originally posted by dylan8 View PostOuch... hope your not paying for that in the end!Nothing to see here...

I hit a poorly maintained section of the M5 which was nearly 10cm deep and tore the underneath of my car to bits. I have new front wheel hubs, rear bearings, rear trailing arm on one side, undertray, suspension bushings, other bits and pieces on order.Originally posted by clark View PostWhat happened?
The rear trailing arm is $700 on its own...Nothing to see here...

Just got in the .:R and surely enough the radio wouldn't turn on at all. Even when i manually tried to turn it on. Turned on on the return drive though. Going to call NRMA for a quote before i get stuck somewhere.Originally posted by thekraut View PostThat, your radio turning itself off overnight and comfort modules not working properly are the first clues to a battery on its way out. learnt that if i rev it in neutral (or clutch in), and then wait a moment, and then push back on the throttle quickly, i get a nice big black cloud of smoke (with associated backfire sound)
stinks sooo bad!
could come in handy when there are pesky tailgators or cars behind with annoying lights! hehe
