Ahhhh that's where it ended up. I've been meaning to get him to change the lights in a HU for my mk3.

It's an OEM RCN210 I got off AliExpress, and had Clusters by Litke modify the LCD screen to match the factory colour & inversion. And yes, buttons lights are red just like the rest of the interior

Correct, he's in the states. Unit was about $100 AUD, had it delivered to Litke. He did the mods, shipped it back to me at a cost of about $70 AUD. Costs of the mod you'd have to ask him.

Still pretty cheap all up, given the features and sound quality of the unit. Very much an OEM+ sorta upgrade. You could get away with not changing the screen, which would make a this even cheaper again. I just wanted it to all match up 😋

Gave my beloved 02 MkIV Golf to a family member. They kept it clean, fixed a few things well, got busted speeding and then rear-ended two cars resulting in a bent hood and radiator smashed into the fans, but engine all ok. Next thing I know, they decided to send it to the scrap yard without asking me. [emoji22] Too bad if anyone was looking for a great engine, gearbox, wheels, doors, seats, steering wheel or anything else!

steering ignition lock cylinder

On weekend finally replaced the still original steering ignition lock cylinder. Persevered with chisel & hammer for the shear head bolts and eventually got them loose.





Now may Bora is airing out over night after I've had an ozone generator inside for 1.5 hours to get rid of the original owner's pet and air fresher smells which I have struggled to get rid of with conventional cleaning products.

Preventative maintenance - this failed on my previous Bora and I needed towed.
