I changed the o ring on the coolant temp sensor as it was seeping just a little bit, but I also broke off another coolant line and had to rush out to the wrecker and hope they had a part, they did.
So swapped that out and filled with new pink coolant, yeah for me.
When I started for a test drive it was lumpy as all hell, guess the ignition amp has had it againMK4 GTI - Sold

Took the wife an kids to the tavern for dinner (and a beer for me) now that they are all asleep I decided to have another look at this darn thing. It was a bad connection on the ICM.
With engine running a slight bit of pressure on the wires make it run smooth, managed to find a spot where the wire is supported and things are OK. It passed the flog around the block test with smoking tyres
Will have to checkout the terminals another time when its not so dark and ****ing cold.
Wow what an ordeal, when all I had to do today was change the o ring on the sensor.MK4 GTI - Sold
