Yeh I need new tyres too, and some paintwork and new pads, and mounts. Been driving around on the spare for a few weeks now if not longer *sigh* WA German Car Day this coming weekend. Might get time to give it a wash at least...
Replaced engine belts, tensioners, waterpump, thermostat and cyl. head coolant flange this past weekend. Glad that's over.
I noticed that the rear bush in the contol arm on the drivers side is torn up. Is this a common problem on lowered fwd MKIV's? I'd replaced them around 12,000km ago, when I fitted the coilies.
Did you replace with stock or something upgraded like r32? While the stock are soft and weak, wouldn't expect it to give up that soon.
I did like 170-180,000km on mine both stock and coils and only one looked shabby in the end
I went from stock to rose joints so can't comment sorry.
Going by how much abuse my r32 tops have put up with compared to stock though I'd say the solid material is much better.
I believe the control arm rear Bush is the same. Open for stock/lower cars, solid for r32/tt, but using the same material for oem feel
