nice one!!
you'll need to colour code the rub strips now for the ultra clean look to be completed..
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...

I'm thinking of keeping them pov pack black as a homage to the car's roots and sticking with the black/ silver theme I've got going on. Will be getting some side skirts though and currently modding a damaged R32 rear bar.
I agree with the theory, and like the silver and black combo, but do that with any other parts but the rub strips.. The rub strips are a blight on the MK4 landscape!!
(Current Australian news joke there too)
Seriously though, please, please, consider painting them! Leaving them black is the exact opposite of what you've just done by installing that ultra smooth r32 bumper!!
If those rub strips didn't leave those hideous holes in our doors, most of us wouldn't have the rub strips at all I don't think..

Looks good mate, but I agree with kendog on the colour coding.
What skirts are you thinking of fitting? I've always thought that the 20th anniversary ones would look great on a car with R32 front and rear bumpers - plus it wouldn't be all R32 then either
Cheers for the input on the rubstrips - might rethink my black/ silver approach - maybe I'll ditch them altogether. Will photoshop a few options to see what works best.
Re. Side skirts - was thinking Votex if I can find them at a decent price.
Was after an r-line rear bar (unfortunately the OEM is no longer available), but bought Dubster's damaged R32 bar to mod for something different.

Quick question guys, wanting to run the mk4 gti brake on my 1.6 after the conversion is it a case of just the carriers and calipers or the whole hub aswel?
Black and silver theme? Tint the windows, paint the strips and maybe black vinyl wrap the B pillar.
Have vinyl wrap on order for B pillars - agree that the windows need to be darker (they are actually tinted, but it's beginning to peel so will be replaced) ...
All the strong opinions on the rub strips, (Kendog/ PeanutButterWolf/ Blake/ Dylan/ Back Door Shenanigans/ YellowDieselGolf), have changed my mind so I'll be colour coding them (mainly to get you guys off my back ) - it might take a while and I'll probably get them done at the same time as the rear bar/ side skirts/ other touch-ups.
Black Euro lights are an interesting thought - I'll try a photochop to get some idea of the effect.

I'm pretty sure the caliper carriers where part of the hub on the 1.6 so you will need to swap hubs for the 1.8t brakes
