So went to custom fabricator today for a quote for a hood extension and side indicator flush with paint...around $1500 the lot depending how long it takes. Now i know where to go and how much to put away after the engine conversion

What needs doing exactly ?it needs to be taken out and retrimmed. Its sagging at the back. I might give it ago myself and if it turns out like poo I'll get it re-done

I'm definitely doing mine myself, Matt at Camden GTI said there's a place in Alexandria I can get the proper padded material for about $40, and there's how-to's on the net, easy. Just trying to decide on keeping it light grey, or going black..
I think they'd give you a MUCH cheaper quote if you told them you'd take it out and just give them the headliner, so they had no labour on the removal/install. Also, cleaning all the old glue and padding off is labour you can do yourself to save cash too.Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
