Costs $195 but I bought mine off ebay so a bit cheaper. Nice buy!

    • Car is slowly getting closer to the deck, tubular control arms in this arvo (if all goes to plan) for more lows.

Also received and installed my rear bilstein struts (close to 2 years after ordering...).
Ride is sooo much nicer matched with the cans, but they stop me from getting rear beam on chassis unlike my TA technix struts. even with chopped bump stops
Considering I paid extra to have them shortened I'm not every impressed.

        • here is my 222k km old bush... not too bad imo considering km, big wheels, country roads, and being used at such an aggressive angle for the past 70k km+
the control arm on the other hand, not so great... see the metal has been contacting other parts of the subframe? lots of the arm was this including the big wear and crack from the short period I ran the whiteline sway bar

one new arm in, managed to cross thread a section of the other (was full of media beads/metal when I got it and I think those caused the mis alignment)

              • I have the same arms, they're really well made although mine came loaded with weld splatter in the threads. Had to buy a tap to clean them out. They finished off an otherwise awesome suspension setup. I just wonder how long the rod ends will last. The rod ends on the gruvenparts arms for the rear I had lasted about 3 months:

I think they were cheap joints though. I've since replaced them with the MadMax poly ends. Scott at USRT reckons he's had a set of the same joints on his road car for a few years with no beef so we'll see...

                P.s. I've ditched those well-cambered FK452s in favour of AD08s.

                  • I just had a delivery.. apexi FMIC and MK4 1.8T piping kit.. not a massive FMIC, but a good brand, and should be WAY better than the ****ty stock SMIC! So long ****ty SMIC, hello air movement in traffic and hot days!!

Anyone got links to install vids or install threads?? I've found a few, and starting from the throttle body end, going all around it looks easy, it's just at the turbo end it looks a bit tricky, with most install vids/threads not giving enough details at that section..

                        • Will do, cheers, and a big thanks again to you Gavin, for helping me with the research etc. !!

I would have loved to get the THS one, but for $220 delivered to my door for the above kit, I just had to give it a go! And I can go a slightly bigger IC if I need to, re-install will be easy once the initial piping is done.

This sounds like a killer kombo Dyl. I kan't wait to see what sort of krazy set up you'll be kreating.

Yeah, I figured it was worth doing to try and keep as much grit etc out as possible. I got them for the Gruvenparts too, didn't seem to do much for them but like I say, they were either cheap joints or just not greased when I got them. Paul was very good about it though and refunded me for the joints.
